What is the Center of Vision Excellence?
The Center of Vision Excellence is a new concept branch network created by the Latvian American Eye Center (LAAC), which offers patients a full range of vision correction - from glasses, contact lenses, night lenses to laser vision correction or lens implantation.
At the centers, patients of all ages can perform eye health and vision diagnostics, individually determining the most appropriate type of vision correction or necessary treatment, which is continued in the main clinic - Latvian American Eye Center.
Latvian American Eye Center (LAAC) is the first private eye and vision health clinic in the Baltics, founded in 1993. A stable, well-known, high-level medical institution where vision and eye health services are provided to Latvian residents and foreign patients.

Center of Vision Excellence services
The Center for Vision Excellence provides the patient with outpatient services to diagnose vision and eye health with a series of in-depth tests and procedures in the leading clinic of the Latvian American Eye Center.
The patient will have the opportunity to receive a doctor or vision specialist's consultation, determining the most appropriate vision correction type. For convenience, we provide glass orders, contact lenses and night lenses, and their care products.
In providing services, the latest generation of medical technologies and equipment are used in patients' care by professional, experienced, and highly responsible specialists, ensuring the patient receives a convenient, gentle, and safe service.
The Center of Vision Excellence provides access to all vision correction services, thus providing a personal approach to each patient's vision correction.
Glasses and contact lenses
Vision correction is any aid or action that improves vision.
Glasses and contact lenses are the primary and most widely known vision correction solutions. In addition to the possibility of correcting vision provided by glasses or contact lenses, the limitations and daily inconveniences of proper care and hygiene must be weighed, especially when contact lenses are worn, and the restrictions on an active lifestyle that eyeglass and contact lens wearers face.
Night lenses
For active people, there is an advanced solution for vision correction - corneal refractive therapy or night lenses. The method is based on changes in the cornea's shape, which are achieved using a unique lens at night when the patient is asleep. The result is a temporary improvement in vision that lasts for about a day, so the patient should also wear these lenses every night. It is a comfort and safety in normal daily activities, active sports and leisure, and the lenses are suitable for both children and adults without age restrictions.
Laser correction
A cosmetic procedure that helps improve vision is laser correction. The provision of a complete laser kit is essential in laser vision correction.
At the Center of Vision Excellence, we are happy to recommend and provide our patients with the most suitable of the four available in the world:
LASIK; TRANS-EPI LASIK or PRK; FEMTO LASIK and SMILE
laser correction methods.
Lens implantation
If laser correction is not suitable for a patient due to medical or other considerations, the EVO Visian ICL or intraocular Collamer lens implantation is a gentle and safe long-term vision correction solution.
- The lens is made of a biocompatible material with built-in UV protection;
- the lens provides high visual acuity;
- not visible or noticeable in the eye after implantation.
The advantage of EVO Visian lens implantation is long-term vision correction without removing the natural tissue of the eye, and the procedure is reversible and does not cause "dry eye syndrome".
Implantation of a multifocal lens is recommended for permanent vision correction in patients with cataracts and people with high-grade hypermetropia or presbyopia. In these cases, the eye's natural lens is replaced by a clear artificial lens with several focal points that provide the person with clear vision at different viewing distances.
